Custom domain
Status Pro

Point a subdomain to your HowlOps status page by adding one CNAME record. HTTPS is then provisioned automatically. See the custom domain guide for the full flow.

status.yourcompany.com CNAME ssl.howlops.com
Maintaining incidents

When an incident is active, it automatically appears on your status page. You can:

  • Add a human-readable description visible to your customers
  • Post progress updates as you work to resolve it
  • Mark as resolved. Status returns to Operational.

Email subscriptions
Starter+

Visitors can subscribe to email notifications directly from your status page. They receive an alert when an incident opens and a recovery notice when it resolves.

How it works for visitors
  1. Visitor clicks Subscribe to updates on your status page
  2. They enter their email address
  3. They receive a confirmation email and click to confirm
  4. From that point, they get notified on every new incident and recovery
Managing subscribers

Go to Status Pages and open the configuration for your page. The Subscribers tab shows all confirmed email addresses. You can remove individual subscribers at any time.
