Multi-Region Monitoring

Paid plans

Run checks from multiple geographic regions simultaneously. Identify regional outages, CDN issues, and geo-specific failures that single-region monitoring would miss.

How it works

Each monitor can be assigned to one or more prober regions. When a check runs, all assigned regions probe the endpoint independently. Results are aggregated: if all regions fail, the monitor is marked down. If only some regions fail, the monitor is marked as partial (a regional outage) and a partial-outage alert is sent. Degraded is a separate state that indicates slow response times, not a regional failure.

FAQ

Is multi-region slower?

No. Regions check independently in parallel. Results arrive within the check interval.

How is uptime calculated with multiple regions?

Uptime is based on whether the majority of regions succeed. Partial failures show as 'partial' (some regions down). 'Degraded' is a separate state that means slow response times.

Can I add more monitoring locations?

New monitoring locations are added regularly. Contact support if you need a specific region, and we'll let you know when it becomes available.
